On the 10th and 11th of December 2018, WWI hosted a number of partner organisations to mark the inception of the Accountability for Water, an innovative new action and research programme that aims to strengthen knowledge and practice of social accountability in the water sector.

We’re pleased to announce two exciting opportunities to work with Water Witness International and our partners to lead ground-breaking research on water and accountability via PhD scholarships funded by the Scottish Government’s Hydro Nation Scholars Programme.  I'd be grateful for your help in circulating details of these opportunities among your networks so that we can find the best candidates. 

On Monday 29th October, we hosted a diverse audience of 68 public sector, private sector and NGO stakeholders to discuss Scotland's role in driving climate resilient pro-poor growth in Africa through water stewardship.

We are delighted to welcome two new members of staff to Water Witness International. Dorcas Pratt joins as Deputy Director and Eva Schoof as Research and Communications Officer.

in October 2018, Water Witness International and its partners awarded the ‘Habari za Maji’ prize for outstanding journalism for accountability in water management. The Awards attracted 120 submissions from 46 journalists.
